It's a brand new month! February! Well as you know, most people would say "A new month, you start out fresh and good."
Not in my case! Like I promised...I'll be telling you about my horrid competition yesterday. I think the only thing that I got out of that was that I got the highest PERSONAL bar score. This other girl beat me so she got first. That really disappointed me...but you can't critisize the judges' choice. So I congradulated her and wished her good luck in the next few competitions. Anyways. Here's my bar routine:
First Half: Kip cast handstand turn kip cast squat on...
Second Half: Kip cast handstand clearhip handstand giant giant fly away.
That seems like a really long run on sentence...but I don't care.
That routine got a 9.575. Angie hit her routine and got a 9.550. And I was right after, so it was pretty cool. Angie got 9.550 on vault, too! So I was kinda looking for her score on beam and floor to see if it was also 9.550.
We warmed up on beam and we competed.
I fell on my series (I've been falling on it lately...but this fall is missing both feet, so the judges deduct that it fell -.5 and no series which is -.5 to 1 pt. So I basicly failed at that, so I'm not going to tell you the score.) You can guess it.
ASIAN FAILLLLLLL...!!
Anyways, I went to floor and warmed up. I didn't get to warm up my full, but I knew I could do it. In my routine I fell on my second pass (front handspring layout pike). Everything else was pretty good.
P.S. to the people who are reading this:
I don't usually fall on stuff like this. I ALWAYS make my passes!! So don't judge me on this.
The next meet will be in Arizona in a arena where last year's Super Bowl was hosted. It is said to be really amazing! And big! And cool. But I don't think I can compete there.
I went to a foot specialist at about 3:30 this afternoon. His name was Henry R. Tseng. He's a D.P.M. (I have no idea what that is so don't even ask me.) He's pretty good. Oh wait...just kiding! He's a Diplomate, American Podliatric Medical Specialties Board Foor Surgery and Acupuncture. (Such a mouthfull) He's patient and talks quitely. I noticed that he writes with his left hand, too! Ok, so I guess you can reach him at www.docfoot.com or www.mightyblam.com
I'm not sure...so don't come back and comment something like "It didn't say!! Wtf! Where's his name?!" I'll just say to look it up on Google or something.
Okay, just incase one of you guys has a foot problem and need to talk to him and ask questions or make an appointment...here's the address:
Hacienda Heights:
15909 E. Gale Avenue #A.
Hacienda Heights, CA 91745
Tel: 626-330-4866
Fax: 626-330-7989
It's open Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9am-5pm
And it's open Tuesday 9am-1pm
Okay, so anyways, he said that...something in my foot was stressed and is stretched out irregularly and it has to go back to its regular shape. He said it isn't bad, but he said that it can get really bad if I didn't take care of it. (I'll take that into consideration.)
He gave me a sheet of paper with exercises I can do to stretch my foot and a sheet that told me what kind of a foot pad (thing) I would need. They are the things that go in your shoes to support your foot. It's recommended by most doctors, but no one really wants to buy them. They're extremely comfortable if its the right size.
And he told me to wear a wrap around my foot to keep it from swelling and to get the water and blood and stuff to get sucked into the place that I hurt so that it can get better. Henry also said that I could eat pain medications if it was really bothering me.
Overall, I can't run, jump, or do anything like that in school. I can only do light things in workout at gym and I have to wear the wrap at all times (not including sleeping, taking a shower, or going to gym).
What a great way to start February!
